There is a particular kind of joy that comes from a trip with your closest friends - no compromises, no obligations, just the people who know you best and a destination that delivers everything you didn't know you needed. If you've been half-planning this trip for months (or years), let Koh Samui be the answer.

Thailand's most beloved island has everything a girls' trip calls for: good spas, great beaches, lively evenings, and excellent food. Staying at a private villa gives you the space and privacy to enjoy all of it on your own terms.

Your Own Private Paradise

A villa works well for groups - you have the run of the place, and everyone is together when you want to be.

Villa Anushka has six en-suite bedrooms, a 12-metre infinity pool with sea views, a spacious sala, sun loungers, and a housekeeping team on hand throughout your stay.

How to Spend Your Days

Morning: Beach and Breakfast

Start as you mean to go on. Breakfast is served at the villa - fresh fruit, pastries, eggs - with the infinity pool glistening and the sea visible from every room. When you're ready (and there's no rush), Chaweng Noi beach is just a two-minute drive away: calm, clear water, far fewer crowds, and enough shade to make a full morning there entirely comfortable.

Afternoon: Spa Day or Massage at the Villa

Koh Samui has some very good spas, and an afternoon treatment session is a natural fit for a girls' trip. Traditional Thai massage, oil treatments, body scrubs, steam rooms - there's plenty to choose from, and prices are reasonable by most standards. Alternatively, we can arrange for massage therapists to come to the villa - often the easier option for a group.

Evening: Cocktails, Dinner, and Whatever Comes Next

The island's dining scene is very good. Bophut's Fisherman's Village has fresh seafood restaurants right at the water's edge - ten minutes from the villa - and Chaweng has a busy restaurant strip with plenty of variety. The nightlife scene in Chaweng is also close by if the group wants to make a night of it.

Or stay at the villa. Arrange a private chef for the night, light candles around the pool, and have dinner served under the stars. Some evenings are simply better at home.

Hen Parties and Milestone Birthdays

Koh Samui has become one of Asia's favourite destinations for hen parties - and it's not hard to understand why. Beautiful weather, affordable luxury, and a celebratory atmosphere - Koh Samui is ideal for marking a big occasion.

Ideas for celebrating at Villa Anushka:

For a milestone birthday - a 30th, 40th, 50th - a Koh Samui villa stay can be tailored into exactly the kind of celebration the guest of honour has been imagining.

Shopping and Markets

The Friday Night Walking Street in Fisherman's Village (Bophut) is worth a visit - handmade jewellery, beach cover-ups, silk scarves, artwork, and street food. It's a good evening out and very easy to browse.

The night market at Nathon Pier is another stop - more local, more eclectic, and a perfect hour's wander before dinner.

Practical Notes

Flights: Koh Samui has its own airport with direct connections from Bangkok, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Most international visitors connect through Bangkok, which has frequent onward flights to Samui throughout the day - making connections simple for a group arriving from different cities.

Getting around: Car and scooter hire is widely available, and taxis are easy to find across the island.

If you've been putting off booking this trip, Koh Samui is a good reason to finally do it.
